MEET MONTE SIMPKINS

Monte Simpkins is a dynamic Mental Health Professional who grew up in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. He champions an educational background that spans psychology, leadership, and mental wellness. Monte began his higher educational journey at Bridgewater College, where he earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, laying the groundwork for his deep understanding of human behavior and cognitive processes. During his time at Bridgewater, Monte was the captain of the Men’s Basketball team, recipient of the Iron Eagle award for hard work and leadership and led them to their best record of the decade in the prestigious Old Dominion Athletic Conference. Building upon this psychological foundation, Monte furthered his expertise at Ottawa University, achieving a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership. This advanced study honed his skills in leading teams and organizations effectively, with a keen focus on fostering collaborative and high-performing environments. Committed to continuous personal and professional growth, Monte further expanded his competency in mental health by completing a specialized certification in 'Building Personal Resilience: Managing Anxiety and Mental Health' from Harvard University. This prestigious certification underscores his commitment to integrating mental wellness strategies into his leadership and coaching practices, ensuring a holistic approach to organizational and personal development. Currently Monte holds positions as a Associate Head Coach at the collegiate level and a Mental Health Mentor.
